Today I am featuring my final photo of this place. I took it several years ago during an outing at a nearby state park with my true-blue friend ‘P’ (who I also met up with for a quick bite to eat today). I have no doubt I will miss having so many beautiful places to explore (mountains, lakes, forests) right at my fingertips. Alas, it’s time to move on. I am getting up first thing in the morning and driving approximately 500 miles, followed by 500 the next day, and another 235 on the final day. I am not looking forward to the drive, but at least I’ll have my dog to keep me company. Anyway, I need to get to bed. Spent the whole day cleaning and packing up the last few odds and ends, and still have a bit more to do before we turn the key in the lock the final time.

This is a beautiful photo … and hopefully you’ll find more beautiful places (and new true friends) in your new town! Good luck with the driving – it’s a long way to go each day 😬 … but just think about the conversations you can have with your dog 🐶.

Thank you for the compliment! Yes, it was a beautiful place to live. We arrived at our temporary home today and it doesn’t even compare to where we previously lived. So much traffic…and everything requires a good commute. Ugh. Glad the drive is over with. My dog was a great travel companion! She didn’t fuss the whole way, and it was nice to have her company on the road. 🙂

I’m glad you arrived safe at your new (temporary) home. Yes, I’m with you … no fan of traffic! Good luck now with “finding” your feet in your new place as I’m sure this will take some time.

Thank you, ‘Dusty’! Had a stressful day today trying to figure out where to live. Drove to several surrounding towns but didn’t find anything that really appealed to either of us (that was for sale). Went on Zillow today and prepared a list of homes to view. We’ll see how tomorrow goes.
