Thank God for fire fighters! When my husband and I set out to grab dinner tonight (after spending a solid 8 hours packing up the house), we were a bit surprised by the ‘view’. Less than a quarter mile from our house, the hillside was on fire. Fortunately, after 4 fire planes and a helicopter (with a bucket) repeatedly doused it with water from the river, the fire was contained within a short amount of time and no structures or lives were lost. I call this photo ‘Too Close for Comfort’. I think the name speaks for itself.
